We think it is important that everyone can understand what essendi does. That’s why we made this page in simple language. We thought about how to make the page accessible. We decided not to add a screen reader or high-contrast mode. We know that people who need a screen reader or special contrast settings usually already use their own tools.

essendi it has existed since 2002. We are an IT company. What does that mean? We create computer programs and we test them too. We also take care of their security. Our customers hire us when they need a custom computer program or when they use our IT security tool. We are there for our customers—from the first idea to the finished product.
We have a product that manages certificates. What is that exactly? Certificates are like a digital ID card. They make sure information stays unreadable to strangers.
Here is an everyday example: When you write an email to someone, the certificate confirms that it really is you who sent it, and not someone else. It also stops strangers from reading it. There are many certificates in a company and they are very important to our customers. Our product, essendi xc, helps keep track of them all.
A computer program is an application that runs on a computer. It can be software like Facebook, or a web shop like Amazon, a search engine like Google, or a program for writing letters on the computer. To write such a program, you need to learn a programming language that the computer understands. Once you know this language, you decide how to make the computer do certain actions. Most of the time, a whole team works on such a project.
